In honor of Black History Month, we recognize excellence in those who have broken barriers and empowered voices. In 2022, the U.S. Justice Department held the ceremonial swearing in of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first black woman to serve in the U.S. Supreme Court. The department invited some of its longest-serving employees to witness the historical moment.
